Hachinohe Shurui Co., Ltd., Hachitsuru Factory
The Hachinohe Shurui sake brewery, with its famous “Hachitsuru” brand, was established in 1786 in the late Edo era. The Hachitsuru brand takes its name from the “mukaitsuru” (two cranes facing each other) in the Nanbu family crest combined with “hachi” from Hachinohe.
Factory tours are available, and during the brewing period between December and March you can watch the sake being made. Experience Hachinohe’s traditional sake brewing method of the Nanbu Clan’s master brewer which has been supported through the ages by Hachinohe's nature and local residents.
