Tatehana Wharf Morning Market

Hachinohe’s massive early-morning Tatehana Wharf Morning Market takes place at Minatomachi's large wharf only on Sunday mornings. It is one of the largest markets in Japan, extending for 800 meters with over 300 stalls displaying anything from fresh and dried seafood, such as squid and mackerel, of which Hachinohe is so proud, freshly-harvested fruits and vegetables, homemade dishes and all the way to miscellaneous household goods. The market is a popular tourist spot with over 10,000 visitors every week.
