Kaneiri Museum Shop

The theme of the Kaneiri Museum Shop is “Aomori is cool and fun”. Products sold here include Hachinohe’s most famous traditional craft, the yawata-uma carved wooden horses, as well as items made with Nanbu sakiori-style weaving, full of functional beauty and the wisdom of our ancestors, and the Hachinohe-yaki pottery of Edo-era commoners. The shop is also a base for the planning and development, sales and sharing of original goods which use the power of design to draw out their local charms. Many other creative items are available here too, such as traditional Tsugaru-nuri lacquered crafts, and books and magazines about design and art.
